This brand is American Distilled and Bottled by Coit Distillers, in Petaluma, California.
This is an Earl Gray Gin that was smooth, and went down well, and is different from London Dry Gin – the juniper is second in character to the tea. After 12 months and 10 botanicals, aroma, flavor, balance, and stability are perfect. It is a daring twist on the classic gin, infused with the aromatic elegance of Earl Grey tea. Crafted with 12 botanicals, including black & brown leaf Formosa Oolong, Orange Pekoe, and a hint of cinnamon, this gin is a single distillation masterpiece. At 47% ABV, it boasts a deep tea flavor with citrusy bergamot and a whisper of cookie dough.
What I tasted is a muted aroma of brown sugar and milk chocolate. The elegant yet assertive palate entry is firm, peppery, moderately sweet, and cane-like; at mid-palate the texture turns silky, semisweet and cocoa-like to the taste, and eminently elegant and sophisticated in style!
