In Beverly Hills at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, at the 2025 Milken Institute Global Conference it was both an honor and pleasure to meet, learn from, and rub elbows with: World Leaders, Corporate CEO’s, Billionaires, Celebrities from the Movie, TV, Music, and Sports Worlds, government officials, business leaders, philanthropists, scientists, investors, cultural icons, nonprofit leaders, Visionaries, Global Leaders, Experts, Innovators, nonprofit leaders, and people who are part of our U.S. and World history!

The Milken Institute Global Conference was an unbelievable 4 day event, with about 1000 speakers, with 200 sessions, with 5,000 attendees from more than 80 countries, that represents one of the greatest concentrations of investment capital on the planet, highlighting the power and prestige of the Los Angeles area! This event had about 20 rooms, ballrooms, and theaters with sessions and events going all day and night, all at the same time, that took up all of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, along with the Astor Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, that was right next door!

The 2025 Milken Institute Global Conference ticket prices start at $25,000 for early bird rates and $50,000 for regular basic rates! A higher-tier ticket, including weekend programming and concierge service, can cost up to $150,000. Fees can vary depending on the level of additional perks. This ticket gives exposure to the world’s financial, corporate, political, business, investment, entertainment, and world- leaders! This is the most expensive ticket to any regularly scheduled major event, and costs more than any other ticket in Show-biz, Music, Sports, Political, Entertainment, and the Business worlds! However, despite these ultra high prices, this 28th annual Global Conference still attracts thousands of attendees eager to hear from titans of Wall Street, Washington and Hollywood! With the theme being: “Toward a Flourishing Future” there was closed-door round-tables, high-impact public panels, where attendees engaged in dynamic discussions, collaborative workshops, and networking events designed to foster tangible partnerships and unlock transformative ideas that move the world forward. Michael Milken is the founder and brains behind this incredible event, and has put on this event 28 times, and for almost 3 decades puts on other major events all over the world! Through his events he is trying to make the world a better place, in all fields, and is working on solving many problems we have in our country, and throughout the world. He was present everyday at his conference, to make sure that everything was going well, and to greet many of the guests, like myself, and was very friendly in doing so!. 

Michael Robert Milken (born July 4, 1946) is an American financier. He is known for his role in the development of the market for high-yield bonds (“junk bonds”).  Milken’s compensation while head of the high-yield bond department at Drexel Burnham Lambert in the late 1980s exceeded $1 billion over a four-year period, a record for U.S. income at that time. With a net worth of US $6 billion as of 2022, he is among the richest people in the world, now worth over 7 Billion dollars! The 1987 Movie that was Directed by Oliver Stone, called “Wall Street” was based on the true life of Michael Milken! While the 1987 movie “Wall Street” is a fictionalized drama, it draws inspiration from real-life events and characters. The character of Gordon Gekko is a composite of several individuals, including Dennis Levine, Ivan Boesky, Carl Icahn, Asher Edelman, Michael Milken, and even Oliver Stone himself. The film’s setting and themes reflect the deregulation of the financial industry in the 1980s and the rise of corporate raiders and insider trading scandals.

On the Wall Street of the 1980s, Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) is a stockbroker full of ambition, doing whatever he can to make his way to the top. Admiring the power of the unsparing corporate raider Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas), Fox entices Gekko into mentoring him by providing insider trading. As Fox becomes embroiled in greed and underhanded schemes, his decisions eventually threaten the livelihood of his scrupulous father (Martin Sheen). Faced with this dilemma, Fox questions his loyalties. The Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and The Golden Globe Award for Best Actor were both awarded to Michael Douglas for his roll in this movie!

Michael Milken was pardoned by President Donald Trump on February 18, 2020, and now has become known for his charitable donations. He is co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, chairman of the Milken Institute, and founder of medical philanthropies funding research into melanoma, cancer, and other life-threatening diseases. A prostate cancer survivor, Milken has devoted significant resources to research on the disease. At this year’s event he gave complementary Cancer screenings to all ticket holders! I was very lucky to be able to talk to Baseball Legend, New York Yankee great, All-Star, MVP, and World Champion: Alex Rodriguez at the 2025 Milken Institute Global Conference at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.  Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez, nicknamed “A-Rod”, is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) player and current businessman and TV personality. The 14-time All-Star played for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees over 22 seasons, retiring in 2016. During his career, he won three AL MVP awards, 10 Silver Slugger Awards, and a World Series championship with the Yankees in 2009. Alex Rodriguez, a.k.a. A-Rod, @ARod was born on July 27, 1975 in New York and spent his childhood in the Dominican Republic and Miami. He is known for his baseball career as the New York Yankees’ third baseman. He won one World Series title in the pinstripes in 2009 and retired from the sport in August 2016 after over 22 years with 696 home runs.  Since leaving the clubhouse, Rodriguez has traded his cleats for a mic in the broadcasting booth as a MLB analyst for FOX. This incessant ballooning poses significant implications for the US economy and global markets. At this panel I heard from experts describing the current implications of the national debt. Steven Terner Mnuchin: born December 21, 1962- is an American investment banker and film producer who served as the 77th United States secretary of the treasury as part of the first cabinet of Donald Trump from 2017 to 2021. Serving for nearly a full presidential term, Mnuchin was one of the few high-profile members of Trump’s cabinet whom the president did not dismiss during his first term.

Dr. Oz ran in the 2022 U.S. Senate election in Pennsylvania as a conservative Republican, and he is Turkish, and is the first Muslim candidate for Senate to be nominated by either major party. He lost the election to the Democratic nominee John Fetterman.  Dr. Oz, was a regular guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, making more than sixty appearances. In 2009, The Dr. Oz Show, a daily television program about medical matters and health, was launched by Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and Sony Pictures Television, running for 13 seasons. There was an interesting and fascinating speaker: Deepak Chopra, who our news reporters: Margie Rey and Bernie Hiller were able to get 1st row seats to listen to the wisdom of Deepak during his session. After Deepak’s enlightening talk they were both able to meet him and do a brief interview: Deepak was born October 22, 1946, and he is an Indian-American author, new age guru, and alternative medicine advocate, and he is a prominent figure in the New Age movement.  His books and videos have made him one of the best-known and wealthiest figures in alternative medicine. In the 1990s, Chopra, a physician by education, became a popular proponent of a holistic approach to well-being that includes yoga, meditation, and nutrition, among other new-age therapies.

Deepak Chopra’s fame stems from his work as a pioneer in mind-body medicine and his status as a New York Times bestselling author. He is known for his teachings on holistic health, Ayurveda, and spiritual principles, reaching a wide audience through books, seminars, and his media presence.

In addition to all of the great Sessions, World Leaders, Corporate CEO’s, Billionaires, Celebrities, government officials, business leaders, philanthropists, scientists, investors, cultural icons, and people who are part of history, they had some amazing Entertainment Shows and Concerts!  On the 2nd day of the conference they had a great 2 hour long show called “Late Night: A Musical, Theatrical, & Comedy Pop-Up”  where Broadway meets comedy, hosted by legendary Comedian and Actor Chris Tucker: and featuring performances by Comedian and Actor: Jon Lovitz: and more! Jon made some very funny bits on President Donald Trump, about “the President using his Liar character from Saturday Night Live- to make a point about his January 6th investigations.” On his cell phone Jon saved an audio recording of President Trump, that he played for the audience, when the President said during a press conference: “that woman that is investigating me about January 6th is such a liar, she sounds like Jon Lovitz from Saturday Night Live, when he does his liar character  . . she is such a liar . .  I think someone should look into that!” Jon went on to tell a very funny story about that, and other stories about Donald Trump. Jon was so funny that he made my mouth hurt from laughing so hard!

It was an amazing late-night spectacle, as a talented ensemble of the stars from hit Broadway Stage Musical Plays like “Rent” and “Lion King ” and “Hamilton” brought iconic show tunes to life, with humor to the mix! It was a night of unforgettable performances, especially from the hit band: “Capital Cities,”: witty banter, and plenty of laughs from Chris & Jon! They had A-List Broadway Performers like Chris Lee, Spencer Ludwig, Matt Santos, Wallace Smith, and Samantha Ware: This concert was held in the Beverly Hills Ballroom, with a VIP Reception right when you walked in the door, with delicious food, amazing deserts, and drinks; that made this a very entertaining and fun event, that everyone will always remember! & With 1st row seats it was even better! At any event that is held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel there is always 1st. class VIP immaculate service, and delicious gourmet food, delectable deserts, and premium drinks that are served to the attendees, and the Milken Institute Global Conference was no different. There was food served throughout the day, with Breakfast and Yoga each morning, Lunch, and at some events- Dinner in the evenings, and many times an eclectic array of Desserts was laid out for us: So we wanted to give a special thanks to The Beverly Hilton Hotel Catering and Special events Departments, and especially their Banquet Captain: Antonio Becerra– who has served the Beverly Hilton for 42 years!, and he was wearing an employee medal that said “40” for 40 years of service – so he has been working there for most of his life! Amazing & impressive. We also wanted to thank the head Waiter: Real Azad- who is one of the many fine staff that helps to give the Beverly Hilton Hotel it’s 4 Star and 4 Diamond ratings!
