Join us as we Travel back in time 10 Years ago to the year 2015- to the Los Angeles Film Festival, to interview a much younger Haley Joel Osment, for a Live Read on stage play of “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”.
Even 10 years ago in 2015, Haley is still much older and taller than when he was just a small boy when he did the 2001 Sci-fi /Thriller Movie: “A.I. Artificial Intelligence” that was Directed by an also much younger Steven Spielberg, a quarter of a century ago, that was 1st. released on June 29, 2001 in the USA. Now in the year 2025 A. I. has again become a hot topic!
This A.I. Artificial Intelligence movie was about a robotic boy, the first programmed to love, David (Haley Joel Osment) is adopted as a test case by a Cybertronics employee(Sam Robards) and his wife (Frances O’Connor). Though he gradually becomes their child, a series of unexpected circumstances make this life impossible for David. Without final acceptance by humans or machines, David embarks on a journey to discover where he truly belongs, uncovering a world in which the line between robot and machine is both vast and profoundly thin.

In the above photo our TV News Reporter Jennifer Hynes is dancing the night away with Steve Taylor in the after-party, after doing a great in-depth and fun interview with Haley Joel Osment:
Courtney Love was a riot as “Mr. Hand”. In the original movie the role of “Mr. Hand” was played by a man: Actor: Ray Walston, (who is best known for his starring role in the hit comedy TV series: “My Favorite Martian”), so Courtney did a great acting job as a women version of the male role of “Mr. Hand”, that was so funny that her performance had everyone in the audience laughing throughout the whole show. You can see her on the left of the below photo with Steve on the right, in the lobby of the Premier Theatre:
Jennifer also did a fun interview with Logan Paul who had that surfer dude style down as “Jeff Spicoli”, who Sean Penn played in the Original Movie. Sean Penn is known for his intense leading man roles in film. His accolades include two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and nominations for three British Academy Film Awards, an Emmy Award, and a Grammy Award! You can see Logan on the right of the below photo with Steve on the left, during the awesome after-party:
Haley Joel Osment did a great acting job in the role made famous in the original movie by Judge Reinhold, who played the role of “Brad Hamilton”.
In this 1982 movie: Fast Times at Ridgemont High, there was a long list of actors in this star-studded cast.In the movie Stacy Hamilton (Jennifer Jason Leigh) is a pretty, but inexperienced, teen interested in dating. Given advice by her uninhibited friend, Linda Barrett (Phoebe Cates), Stacy gets trapped in a love triangle with nice guy Mark “The Rat” Ratner (Brian Backer) and his more assured buddy Mike Damone (Robert Romanus). Meanwhile, Stacy’s classmate Jeff Spicoli (Sean Penn), who lives for surfing and being stoned, faces off against Mr. Hand (Ray Walston), a strict teacher who has no time for the slacker’s antics. The bold print are all interviews at this show that Jennifer did.
