I am proud to call Ed Lozzi a friend! I have known Ed for over 30 years, and have attended so many of his events both as a VIP invited guest, and as press- doing interviews on the red carpet, and doing news stories on the shows and awards, for my TV Shows: Entertainment & Sports Today, and Entertainment Today. So after working with him for all these years, we became good friends! He was always kind, helpful, friendly, loyal, honest, frank, funny, compassionate, intelligent, strong, a hard worker, and always a pleasure to be around, talk to, and work with.
Edward P. Lozzi was born in Hawthorne, New Jersey, in 1949, and died in Beverly Hills on April 22, 2026 after a brief battle with esophagus cancer, at the age of 77. Ed was a Legendary Publicist/Public Relations Agent/PR Agent, Political consultant, White House Press Advance staffer, and Writer. In 1981 he founded Edward Lozzi & Associates, a Beverly Hills public relations company, where he represented many of the biggest names in the Entertainment World, Movies, TV, Music, Sports, Business, and Politics!
Ed Lozzi accomplished a lot, with many great achievements, and had an amazing, illustrious, headline news worthy, and successful 50 + year career! He leaves behind his beautiful Mom, brother Marco, son Brandon and wife and 3 beautiful grandchildren and many beloved friends! The Entertainment World is now less without him, and he will be missed by so many! And I personally will miss him. Travel well Ed . . . Then on Sunday May 31, 2026 at 1:30 pm, at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church, in the Mears Center Room, there was a beautiful and moving Celebration of Life Memorial Tribute for Edward Paul Lozzi, with a good turnout of 125 people from the entertainment business, along with Ed’s younger brother: Marco who read the eulogy, and who all were there to pay their final respects. 
This touching and emotional service was Produced by a fellow publicist and longtime friend of Ed’s for 45 years: Roger Neal, who was the M.C. up on the stage for this grand ceremony for Ed Lozzi.
For over 30 years I had the privilege of being friends with Roger, Ed, and “The Night of 100 Stars” Producer: Norby Walters, and I worked together with all of them on countless events.
Ed was an excellent spokesperson for celebrity clients, and most of Ed’s clients that he represented were legendary, and make up a “Who’s Who” of celebrities, and that list is so long- I will just mention a few: Mr. Television himself: Milton Berle, Rudy Vallée: the iconic crooner, and bandleader; “Dallas” TV Star: Larry Hagman, Debbie Reynolds, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Legendary Movie Director/Producer: Stanley Kramer; Pat Boone, Jon Voight (in the photo above) “Incredible Hulk” Star: Lou Ferrigno, The 2nd man to walk on the moon- Astronaut: Buzz Aldrin; Dennis Cole, Bo Hopkins, Mamie Van Doren, Francesca Hilton, Oscar Winner: Shirley Jones & her husband: Marty Ingels; Actors and Academy Award nominated screenwriters: Renée Taylor (in the photo above) & Joe Bologna; Actor Ed Lauter, Tina Louise, Author/illustrator: Maurice Sendak; Jeraldine Saunders: Author, nationally syndicated Astrologer’s column, and creator of The Love Boat Television series; Michael King of King World Entertainment; Peter Nygard-Nygard International; George Barris: the Bat-mobile creator; Legendary Lawyer: Melvin Belli; and for more than 25 years until she was murdered in 2003 by record producer Phil Spector: Actress: Lana Clarkson!

O️n the left of the above photo is: Daniel DiCriscio (pronounced Dee-Cris-see-o) who is an Award Winning TV/ Media Personality, Celebrity Image Consultant, Celebrity Hairstylist, TV Personality, Actor, Model, & Musician. Daniel is known for his work with Paula Jones, Pamela Anderson, Anna Nicole Smith, and a myriad of other high profile clients. Also attending was Sandy Martindale (Wink Martindale’s widow), and Courtney Stodden. 
In the above photo you can see on the left: Joel Diamond, with Steve Taylor on the right. Joel is an acclaimed two-time Grammy-nominated record producer, music executive, and composer, and has produced or written 47 gold and platinum recordings and boasts over 100 Billboard-charted hits across his extensive career that has spanned decades of lucrative management, songwriting, and publishing. Joel is the owner of Joel Diamond Entertainment Silver Blue Productions, Ltd. in Los Angeles, and has worked with diverse icons like Engelbert Humperdinck, David Hasselhoff, Gloria Gaynor, Ike Turner, and Joe Pesci. He notably produced Benny Mardones’ hit “Into the Night.” 
From the Musical Track of Lorna Luft- Joel provided the taped rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star” with a great video presentation of Ed’s life, that was produced by Marc Saltarelli- who is an award-winning director with work in both narrative and documentary filmmaking. 
As you can see in the above photo: The Pianist for this ceremony was Richard Lynn Carpenter, who is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer, who formed half of the sibling duo- of the multi-award winning singers: The Carpenters alongside his younger sister Karen Carpenter! My favorite songs from them were their hits: Top of the World, Rainy Days and Mondays, and We’ve Only Just Begun. I will never forget that when I and my friend Ken, were on the Top Floor of Harrah’s Hotel & Casino in Lake Tahoe, in the luxurious VIP Presidential Suite for the top Diamond Card member Gamblers, with an amazing million dollar view of Lake Tahoe, and the beautiful white sky and clouds- like you were up in heaven, and where they served complementary gourmet food and drinks, that right when I walked in they played “I am on Top of the World looking down on creation . . . .” – so whenever I hear that song I feel like I am in a very special place and enjoying a great experience . . so maybe Richard Carpenter could have played that song for Ed, as I am sure now that Ed is in a very special place up in heaven. However, Richard Carpenter did play Ave Maria, and “My Way” which was the Lozzi Family requested song performed at the celebration, with the Vocalist performing for this ceremony: Marc Antonelli. Marc is one of those musicians who brings authenticity, grit, and heart to every note:

In Ed Lozzi’s college years he played for the University of Tennessee NCAA Football team which rose to third in the Nation in 1968! In 1972, he was named to Who’s Who In American Universities & Colleges. In 1973, after receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Ed was accepted into the Harvard Graduate Business School Executive Education Program at Soldiers Field in Boston, Massachusetts, majoring in Organizational Design and Development.

Ed Lozzi founded Edward Lozzi & Associates, a Beverly Hills public relations company, in 1981 after he held positions in sales and editorial for Dow Jones Irwin Publishing-textbook division and an internship at Rogers & Cowan Public Relations.
Between 1989 and 1993, Ed Lozzi served as a White House Press Advance Office aide for the George H. W. Bush Administration. His overall superior was Press Secretary Marlin Fitzwater. In 1999 he was appointed Press Secretary for the United States Representative to the United Nations General Assembly, Sim Farar, who was appointed by President Bill Clinton and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. When I sent Ed an interview we had done with President George H.W. Bush on our TV shows: Entertainment Today, and Entertainment & Sports Today- that is when he told me that he used to be the press Advance man for President Bush: as he would go in to cities in advance to set everything up for the President! 
ED did the PR for the famed attorney and founder of the American Trial Lawyers Association: Melvin Belli. During his time as Director of Communications of the national firm of Belli & Belli, he directed press conferences and legal news press releases for many of the nation’s largest and precedent making lawsuits of the 20th century including the first Tobacco litigations, the Dupont silicone breast implant cases, the Norplant Birth control class action suits, the CNN tailgate sexual assault litigations, and the Imelda Marcos and Ferdinand Marcos criminal and civil actions on behalf of thousands of political victims of the Marcos regime.
In 1995, during the O.J. Simpson murder trial in Los Angeles, Ed Lozzi was retained by Al Cowlings, the best friend of OJ and the driver of the infamous white Ford Bronco slow police chase seen live on worldwide TV. At a Press Conference organized by the Lozzi firm for Al Cowlings and his criminal attorney Donald Re, an estimated 100 million viewers tuned in!
Only weeks after the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center in 2001, Ed Lozzi’s firm announced in U.S. News & World Report Magazine, that a group of victim Fortune 500 Company CEO’s had formed a ‘Mercenary Army’ to hunt down Osama Bin Laden for the $25 million bounty offered by the U.S. Government. Lozzi appeared on national news shows to explain.
In 2001, Ed Lozzi won the Irwin Award for Book Publicist of the Year. In 2003 Ed and his PR company were retained by actor producer Tommy Wiseau to promote the premiere and provide a publicity campaign for The Room, which has become an international cult film classic and showing in theaters ever since. In 2017, the film The Disaster Artist, about the making of The Room starring James Franco as Tommy Wiseau, opened nationally to rave reviews. 
In 2011, Ed Lozzi and his firm Edward Lozzi & Associates was awarded the Certificate of Commendation from the City of Los Angeles at a special event where Fifth District City Council-member Paul Koretz saluted him for his “outstanding contributions to society and accomplishments in the entertainment industry…through your steadfast ways and caring deeds, you have helped to further the common goal of making our City a better place in which to live”.
There were celebrities that called in like Renee Taylor, and who wrote letters or statements like:
Mamie Van Doren wrote the letter: “the Ed Lozzi Prayer … I’m trying to decide what to do about Ed Lozzi… For instance, who will I call when I want to know the such-and such about so-and-so? Where will I get the comforting Baritone rich with wisdom and the fine stories about our town and profession? I Googled to see if there was an Ed Lozzi AI, or a service to provide Ed Lozzi ‘s on in an emergency. Chat GPT came up empty. Our beloved Ed was un-duplicatable. Ed, if you can hear me, look down from your perch and send a replacement our way. And, if not, may Eternity be kind to you. May your pockets be stuffed with our Prayers. Amen. Love, Mamie”.
