It was Paradise in Palm Springs at the Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage, & The Spa at Séc-he in Palm Springs!

My friend: Ken and I (see below photo) had a once-in-a-lifetime luxury vacation, where we

were each given a Day Pass for The Spa at Séc-he in downtown Palm Springs, however there are so many unique and great things to do and experience there, that I wish we had 2 days! They open everyday at 8 AM, and close at 7 PM, but on Thanksgiving Day they closed early at 4 PM. So I would suggest you get there when they open up and stay till they close, so you have enough time to take advantage of everything they have there!

The service was first class- when we checked in: this was the only spa that I ever went to that gave me a high-end Stainless Steel Water Bottle with my name on it:

I have been to the finest Spas in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, San Diego, and San Francisco at the Ritz Carlton, along with The Riviera Country Club, The Bel Air Country Club, The Beverly Hills Country Club, and The La Costa Country Club, and they are all high-class award winning spas, and each have amazing amenities and unique services, but overall The Spa at Séc-he may just be one of the best spas in the country.

The Spa at Séc-he is a Luxury spa offering a wide range of hot mineral baths, outdoor pool, steam rooms, menthol dry sauna, eucalyptus wet sauna, halo-therapy salt rooms, whirlpool, revitalizing facials, waxing, massages, a grounding room where you can lay-down and listen to special soothing music and sounds, a lounge with a nice spread of healthy fruits, chocolate covered raisins, nuts, snacks, and fruity water drinks, a gym & fitness center: where you can rejuvenate, improve your health, and calm some aching muscles, receive some great skincare, and even work on anti-aging! They have a hot mineral spring with state-of-the-art amenities, and to enhance your spa experience, they provide luxurious grooming amenities as well as a private locker, robe, and sandals. In fact they give each guest who asks for it: their very own designer brush, so when a young man asked for a comb- my friend showed him where this beautiful brush was available and gave him one- the young guy said: “wow that’s so totally legit!” The pool deck features a coed whirlpool, resort-style waterfall main pool and zero-edge mineral pool. The entire staff was very helpful and kind to us.

Since this Spa is owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians – you can see their flag in the middle of the below photo- the middle flag:and operated by the Agua Caliente Casinos, it has some unique services that are ONLY AVAILABLE at this Spa, making it one of the best spas in the country, if not the entire world!

For example, one of the most important services that this spa has- that can be a life changer as far as your health is concerned is the private 15 minute hot mineral baths! Unlike other natural sources of geothermal energy, which typically make their way to the surface through fissures created by seismic activity, Séc-he travels up a unique, natural pipeline, absorbing 9 minerals such as calcium, magnesium and sodium on its 1.5-mile journey and cooling to about 105 degrees! For over 12,000 years, these legendary waters have dwelled in an ancient aquifer deep underground!

I was given a private 15 minute hot mineral bath, where the instructor said the 9 minerals in the water would work wonders on my skin, make it smooth and silky, improve my circulation, massage my joints, help with Anti-Aging, and make me feel rejuvenated, renewed and younger! I did all of that, and a whole lot more: within 1 minute I felt the massaging effects, and within 2 minutes I touched my arms and face and they were silky smooth, and after 3 minutes I felt my whole body be massaged and rejuvenated! For this service make sure you make a reservation, even though it is included in the Day Pass, so that you could experience the healing power of this incredible hot mineral spring, at Palm Springs’ newest and most relaxing escape—The Spa at Séc-he.

I got to experience their Zero Gravity Chair, that is a similar style of lounge sofa chair that the Astronauts use in Space Ships when traveling in outer space for very long periods of time, and is used to support and cushion them from great amounts of pressure on take-off and landings, and to take pressure off of your spine. You recline all the way back, and your feet are raised higher, so that the pressure is taken off of your spine so that you feel “0 Gravity,” and as you breathe in, it helps improve your overall health, and can help to get rid of inflammation, and work on arthritis!

They have these amazing Salt Caves that you sit inside and breathe the air for about 45 minutes, that improves your overall health and cardio system, cleans out your Sinuses, and can help you with Asthma! In Las Vegas, at the Spa at Caesars Palace– they may not have a Salt Cave, but they have a real Eskimo Igloo made out of Ice, with ice benches that you can sit down, breath the air, have that cool air circulate into the pores in your skin, and look out a window on the top of the igloo to “see the stars in the night sky!” which is great for your body, cardio vascular system, your skin, and is very beneficial for your health.

In the fitness center they have an amazing Sensory Deprivation Chamber, that is a complete reduction of external stimuli by floating in a saltwater tank. You are able to float easily on the salt water, which is set to your body temperature. When you close the thick metal chamber door- you don’t hear a sound:

It can lead to benefits such as reduced stress, enhanced creativity, and improved sleep! Sensory deprivation involves minimizing input from the senses, particularly sight and sound, by creating a “null” environment, by using a float tank, which is a tank filled with saltwater, where you can float effortlessly in a dark, sound-proof environment. It creates a great mental effect by reducing the brain’s workload, it allows for deep relaxation and can lead to changes in perception, which allows for great benefits like stress and anxiety reduction: A state of deep relaxation that can help lower stress levels, reduced chronic pain, increased Creativity and focus: The experience can boost creativity and improve focus, and Improved sleep: Reduced stress and a feeling of tranquility can lead to better sleep quality.

It was very funny, and a good laugh when you look down on the Feet & Inches depth sign at their outdoor zero-edge mineral pool. Usually depth signs on pools start at 1 foot, and go up to about 12 feet, to let people know where it would be safe to dive in without hurting themselves- but this is the ONLY Pool that I have every seen that has a depth sign for 0 feet, and 0 inches! Which you do not need to say, as it is obvious that anybody can see for themselves:

& it is even more funny that this pool had to also put on this sign a warning of “No Diving!” – as you can see in the photo below: When you are all done at the spa, but right before you take your final shower and use the amenities to pamper yourself all up before you leave the Spa, I would suggest that you use the Cold Plunge Tub which is a Cold Dip – that looks like a bathtub, but the water is very cold: about 55 degrees- it is so cold that some people can not take it, so I advise you to jump in for only about 15 seconds- and immediately the cold water will penetrate into your whole body, and you will feel rejuvenated, and any pains that you have will go away within 3 seconds!

There are many benefits you can get from the effectiveness of cold water immersion therapy when you immerse your body in cold water temperatures for very short periods of time. In the last decade, studies have been coming out with more and more benefits of immersions in cold water. There is great popularity and advocates from athletes and people with physical ailments to entrepreneurs and professionals alike. -indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi’s, beautiful outdoor pool with a big selection of meals, and food & drink service, inside food store, and so many things that are great for your health and well-being, so I suggest you get their day pass, and stay the whole day and take full advantage of all the things they have, to get on the road to better health. I know you will surely feel great after just 1 visit!

We went to The Steakhouse Rancho Mirage, as you can see me standing in front of it, in the above photo. For an award winning gourmet restaurant- they really were very reasonably priced, with only 3 entrees that were priced over $100, so that most items were well under $100, therefore you can have a complete meal for only about $100 per person, as you can see in the below photo. This is the only restaurant that has a unique menu that has lights under the menu, so that you can read it very easily, even when the restaurant is a little on the dark side: On the menu for Thanksgiving Day that had an amazing special combo Thanksgiving Day Dinner:

that included Roasted Pumpkin & Apple Bisque Soup, & a big & unique Poached Pear and Winter Salad: a very big main 5 course Turkey dinner that I hardly was able to finish: and a special dessert: Pumpkin Cheesecake, at THE BEST STEAKHOUSE IN PALM SPRINGS & RANCHO MIRAGE: The Steakhouse Rancho Mirage! A very classy thing was to give each guest a box of chocolates to take home with you: This dinner was at their Rancho Mirage location, and they also have this same gourmet restaurant in their Palm Springs location. We had a 5-Star Gourmet dining experience second to none. They have the finest prime steaks and fresh seafood in a sophisticated, comfortable setting, paired with the first-class service. Each dish showcases local produce and fresh seasonal ingredients, creating an unforgettable gourmet cuisine experience.

This gourmet restaurant that we eat at even won a trophy from the Kobe Beef Organization, for the best of the best- high quality “A-5 Certified Beef” that they serve. Kobe beef is the rarest meat on earth! I did have A-5 certified beef many times before, like at Valley View Casino’s Black & Blue Restaurant, where they also had A-5 rated Australian Wagyu Beef Steak, however the A-5 rating from Australia only converts to a high middle, low top tier level of the Japanese Kobe Beef, from Kobe, Japan, since the Japanese Kobe Beef ratings go all the way up to A-12, since they have so much more levels of high quality. However, the A-5 certified Australian Wagyu Beef Steak was still of unbelievable high quality, that had a juicy, almost dessert flavor to it- so the same A-5 certified rating from Japan – was even better than that- if you can imagine a steak that good? We ate at their elegant patio area with a view of the casino.Their restaurants are a must-try culinary affair in the Coachella Valley.
