Live from Hollywood: Superman Himself: Brandon Routh- Stars in the Movie Premier of “Out of Order,” along with an All-Star cast of: Brooke ShieldsSandra BernhardSam Huntington, and Luis Guzman, at the Dances With Film Festival, at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood! In the below photo is Entertainment & Sports Today and Entertainment Today TV Producer: Steve Taylor on the left with Brandon Routh on the right:    This movie is an unethical, laugh-out-loud romantic, legal comedy directed by Guy Jacobson, that I can recommend with 5 stars that you go see! During the Q & A that is held in the theater, right after the movie ends- when Brandon Routh was asked “Do you have any parts of this movie that you may have learned when you Played Superman in Superman Returns?” he laughingly says yes- when he had to change his clothes, and put on a blonde wig disguise, in a bathroom stall in the courthouse, right as the trial is going on, as you can see him wearing the wig, in the below photo, where he is 3rd from the left:

In “Out of Order” Brandon Routh plays BOTH John and Jack Slater, an ambitious, desperate, and hopeless young rookie attorney who is dumped by his supermodel girlfriend, so he lands a prestigious Wall Street job to prove he has drive. However, before he can quit his old law firm, his boss suffers a heart attack, and begs him to take one last case, so convinced he can do it, he decides to swing both positions, leaving him working at both firms

Then comedic chaos ensues when he ends up secretly working for his old firm as well, causing him to represent both the plaintiff and defendant on the same lawsuit. So when he realizes the two firms are on opposing sides of the same massive lawsuit,  it causes him to create a double identity to keep his lies straight! This comedy is inspired by classic comedies like Mrs. DoubtfireHis Girl FridayMy Cousin Vinny, and A Fish Called Wanda. Filming took place over five weeks across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. Key courtroom scenes were shot at the Staten Island Targee Street Court House, with support from the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), which helped revitalize the space for production.
Brandon Routh gave a funny and highly skilled acting performance as a real lawyer that ends up playing 2 roles where he represents both the plaintiff and defendant on the same lawsuit, and having to switch cloths and wear a wig to convince people that he is 2 different people!
Brandon is an American actor. I remember him best from his portrayal of Superman in the 2006 film Superman Returns (above photo), that garnered him international fame. In 2011, he played the title character of the film Dylan Dog: Dead of Night. He also had a recurring role in the NBC series Chuck, as Daniel Shaw.

All-Star cast:

  • Brandon Routh as John / Jack – an eccentric and not-so-successful lawyer, and his alternate persona.
  • Sam Huntington as Paul – John’s sarcastic and cynical best friend and co-worker.
  • Krysta Rodriguez as Sue – a charming and intelligent woman working with John to defend her case.
  • Tao Okamoto as Lisa – John’s girlfriend, assertive and unwilling to be taken for granted.
  • Asher Grodman as Pat – CEO of pharmaceutical giant SuperGen, in court against Sue.
  • Michael Potts as Jerry – John’s boss and Sue’s uncle.
  • Sandra Bernhard as Judge Stevenson – strict, stylish, and half-blind.
  • Brooke Shields as Daniella – a powerful partner at “Jack’s” new law firm.
  • Luis Guzmán as Gustav – an inmate imprisoned for biting people, who becomes John’s unexpected ally.
Sandra Bernhard gives an excellent and funny performance as the Judge during the court case, and having to deal with the crazy antics from the roles played by Brooke Shields as the lawyer/partner representing the defendant: a large Biotech pharmaceutical company being sued by Brandon Routh’s character, and the funny dual roles of “John and Jack Slater” performed by Brandon Routh- whose talent showed through to give a skilled and very funny performance as 2 different lawyers in the same case- but being the same one person using 2 different disguises to fool the court! Sandra in the above photo, gives an excellent performance in this movie that will keep you in stitches from laughing as she plays the Judge during the court room scenes.
Sandra is an American actress, comedian, singer, writer, and author who first gained recognition in the late 1970s for her stand-up comedy. Her routines often included sharp critiques of political figures and celebrity culture. She’s also known for her one-woman shows, which combine cabaret, stand-up, rock-n-roll, and social commentary.

Luis Guzmán is a Puerto Rican actor, whose career spans over 40 years, and is most famous for being a prolific and versatile character actor in films and television series. He has appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson’s films Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love, and Steven Soderbergh’s films Out of Sight, The Limey and Traffic (which earned him a SAG Award), as well as his iconic portrayal of Gomez Addams in the hit Netflix series Wednesday, José Rincón in Narcos, and Raul in HBO’s Oz, but I remember him best from starring alongside Al Pacino in Carlito’s Way (1993), and featuring in hit comedies like We’re the Millers (2013) and Anger Management (2003).

Luis Guzmán co-starred alongside Al Pacino in the 1993 crime drama classic Carlito’s Way. In the film, Guzmán plays the role of “Pachanga,” the loyal, street-smart confidant to Pacino’s character, the former Puerto Rican drug lord Carlito Brigante. In the above photo taken from this movie, you can see Luis in the middle, with Al Pacino on the right, and John Leguizamo on the left.

Sam Huntington is funny as the best friend to the lawyer played by Brandon Routh, as he is trying to help his best friend out of a big jam as he plays 2 lawyers who are both working on opposite sides of the same case! Sam is an American actor, who is best known for his roles as Josh Levison on the Syfy series Being Human, Mimi-Siku in the Tim Allen film Jungle 2 Jungle and Jimmy Olsen in the superhero film Superman Returns. He also played the recurring role of Mitchie Mendelson on the Fox series Rosewood.

Brooke Shields Co-stars as Daniella – who does a great acting job, as she plays the partner in the law firm, who is the lawyer for the defendant: “Pat” who is the CEO of pharmaceutical giant SuperGen. Brooke has had a very long and successful acting career, and rose to fame from her starring role in the big hit movie: “Blue Lagoon” in 1980, and then again garnered more attention in 1996 for her cameo role on the mega hit TV show: “Friends,” when she Guest-starred as Erika Ford, a hilariously obsessive stalker who believes Joey (Matt LeBlanc) is actually his soap opera character, Dr. Drake Ramoray, from Days of Our Lives, that he plays on TV. Amazingly this iconic post-Super Bowl episode ranks as the highest-rated episode in the sitcom’s history!

Brooke Christa Shields is an American actress and model who started her career in infancy, as she was a child model at only 11 months old! Born in Manhattan in 1965, she gained international recognition for her controversial role as a child prostitute in Louis Malle’s 1978 film Pretty Baby. At age 14, she became the youngest model to appear on the cover of Vogue and later appeared in Calvin Klein jeans ads. In the 1980s, she starred in dramas like The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Endless Love (1981). She also starred on TV shows such as Lipstick JungleJane the VirginMomma Named Me Sheriff and Suddenly Susan, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination in 1997 and 1998.

Our current President Donald Trump wanted to date Brooke Shields in the late 1990s. Brooke revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that Trump called her while she was on a movie set to ask her out, using the pickup line: “I really think we should date because you’re America’s sweetheart, and I’m America’s richest man, and the people would love it.” Shields turned him down, explaining that she already had a boyfriend who wouldn’t be happy about it. She later recalled that Trump responded by saying, “Well, I think you’re making a big mistake.”  In the below photo is our Entertainment & Sports Today and Entertainment Today TV Show Host: Margie Rey, when she had an exclusive interview with President Donald Trump:   My most treasured memory with Brooke Shields, is part of our history when Michael Jackson was given his public memorial service at Staples Center on July 7th 2009, after his tragic death, when  I was miraculously lucky enough to win 2 tickets in a worldwide lottery that had 1.2 Billion entries from people from all over our planet, to attend this historic event in person to pay a final tribute to the King of Pop! I was so lucky to be there to see this event in person, as 3 billion people across the world that watched this event broadcast live on TV, making it the biggest televised memorial service in history! Right after this show my guest and I were able to join a small handful of people in the green room at Staples Center, for a very special private party, only for the family and closest friends, and celebrities. I was so surprised and honored when Michael’s sister: La Toya Jackson thanked me for coming, when it was I that was so lucky and happy just to be there! In the morning that day I was in a big hurry to make it there in time, to get through all the security check points, so I cut myself shaving and I had a small spot of blood on my face, and then in this party- Actress Brooke Shields said to me: “let me get that for you ” and wet her finger on her lips and wiped that blood spot off of my face! Brooke was one of the 3 hosts that gave a Eulogy for Michael Jackson, for this memorial service show since she was very close to Michael, and a very good friend who used to date him. This was a special moment that I will never forget! Below is a photo of Brooke Shields (Center) with me on the left, and on the right: Tennis Champion: Andre Agassi, who Brooke was married to from 1996 to 1999:
