Thanks to the Producer we had the pleasure of watching this movie sitting right next to the Starring Lead Actors, Producers, Director, cast and crew- which made it all the more better! I was sitting right next to Actress Lindsey Dresbach, (as you can see in the above photo- right after the movie) so I got to talk to her about her amazing key role in this movie, and her outstanding and deep and moving performance, and how she had so much great emotion, that will lead her to receive many future awards for her acting skills! Our News Team of Entertainment Today TV Producer: Steve Taylor, TV Show Host: Margie Rey, & News Reporter: Matt Segal at The Opening Night of the Dances With Films Festival in Hollywood, at The World Famous Chinese Theatre: After his father is sentenced to 15 years for the manslaughter of a California State Trooper, Max Dagan fights to uncover the truth and get his now terminally ill parent out of prison with a compassionate release.  Max must open up old wounds, including seeking the help of his estranged uncle and the daughter of the dead trooper, to find compelling evidence that could set his father free.  In a race against time, two divided families discover they have more in common than they think.

When Albert Dagan’s played incredibly by Rob Morrow, who we interview on this show, has an affair with Ilene Brennan (played by Lisa Roumain) is discovered by her abusive State Trooper husband, the two family’s lives are forever altered. After narrowly escaping with his life, Dagan now faces 20 years for manslaughter, a reality he refuses to accept. But after a guilty verdict, Dagan’s 15 year-old prodigal guitarist son, Max played by Harry Holden White, who we interview on this show- finds abandonment imminent, sending him evading child services, eventually finding refuge with a struggling musician.

Now, 12 years later, Max (Zachary Gordon) and his rock band are riding the wave of early success. But the news of his father’s brain tumor starts the ultimate clock. At the behest of Albert, Max teams up with his estranged uncle (Rob Brownstein) in hopes of securing a compassionate release so his father can live out his remaining time with family. In their way stands the dead trooper’s partner, Dan Clancy played incredibly by Michael Madsenwho is behind the desk, when Rob Brownstein is asking him for help, with that shot being filmed by WRITER & DIRECTOR: Terre Weisman:  Dan Clancy may have ulterior motives for keeping Albert inside, as well as his dead trooper partner’s now-grown daughter, Alaina played excellently and with great emotion by Lindsey Dresbach, who is on the phone when she talks to Rob Brownstein in jail: Alaina has been working tirelessly to ensure her father’s killer remains imprisoned forever.

MAX DAGAN is a breakthrough performance for actor Zachary Gordon. Known as a child actor from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid films, the independent feature MAX DAGAN is Zachary’s first dramatic adult lead role, while also spotlighting his musical talents as a guitarist and songwriter. Rob Morrow, Jay Mohr, and Michael Madsen also star in this great movie, as a follow-up to Morrow’s Emmy and Golden Globe winning smash-hit series, NORTHERN EXPOSURE’S first ever streaming debut on Amazon Prime.
