The vibrant trade show floor hosted packed community sessions and standing-room-only keynotes, Expo West highlighted its role as the epicenter of global health and wellness trends.

Manufacturing Homeopathic Medicines with Jean Boiron In this 1937 video, Boiron’s co-founder, pharmacist Jean Boiron, shows us the steps taken to manufacture homeopathic medicines. From harvesting plants in the French Alps to creating mother tinctures in the Boiron laboratory, Jean and his team work diligently to ensure they are producing high-quality medicines for their patients and consumers. Boiron was founded in 1932 in Lyon, France, by twin brothers and pharmacists Jean and Henri Boiron. More about Boiron’s history in France and throughout the world can be found at www.boiron.com. In 1983, Boiron established a presence in the United States by acquiring John A. Borneman & Sons, Inc., in suburban Philadelphia. The NPEW Convention is SO BIG, using the all 3 floors of the entire Anaheim Convention Center, North & South Halls, and the Hilton & Marriott Hotels, so our news team needed a hotel right next to the Anaheim Convention Center to carry around all of our big and heavy video camera equipment, and have enough time to make it over to as many of the 3300 booths as possible to produce some great shows on this convention, so we wanted to give a special thanks to the Best Western Stovall’s Inn, who came through at the last second and got us a room directly across the street from the Convention Center, and they even give free breakfast buffets to all the guests:

The Fabulous History of Stovall’s Hotels: The Stovall’s family of hotels have surrounded the magic of the Disneyland Park since 1964. Hotel owner and operator Al Stovall wanted an out of this world experience for hotel guests coming to Disneyland, and he delivered! With flying saucers, spacemen and aliens adorning the hotel lobby, to a rocket van that would pick up guests from the airport, no detail was overlooked. The sixties were coming to life! America was just entering the space race, skirts were getting shorter and shorter, and in a small town called Anaheim Walt Disney’s masterpiece was coming to life! Each hotel had its own space age feel and name! There was the fabulous “Inn of Tomorrow” (now Stovall’s Inn), the amazing “Space Age Lodge,” (now Pavilions Hotel), the “Cosmic Age Hotel,” “The Galaxy Hotel” and the “Apollo Inn.” In the 70’s Disneyland was coming to life! Families would flock to Anaheim for a once in a lifetime experience, and the Anaheim hotels were ready to meet and exceed their expectations. Their hotels were state of the art, with color TVs, direct dial phones and much more. Their “Rocket van” would pick up people from the Orange County airport and “jet” them back. In the 80’s New wave music, strange hairstyles, MTV was born, and the eighties were alive and kicking! To embrace this lively and hip decade, many of their Anaheim hotels were re-modeled with a “Miami Vice” feel and look. Decorative neon could be found in their lobby areas. They even had a modern computer at the front desk connected to other Best Western hotels!
