Sheridan, a veteran of Desperate Housewives, joined the cast as Alexis Carrington as a series regular in season two of the nighttime soap. The CW and CBS Television Studios released the following statement about her exit: “Nicollette Sheridan will be leaving Dynasty in order to focus on some personal family responsibilities. She was a valuable asset to the show and we wish her continued success in the future.”
