This was a star-studded night with almost all the stars, and the main people there like: Director/Producer/Co-Writer Michael Showalter, star and producer Anne Hathaway, stars Nicholas Galitzine, Ella Rubin, Reid Scott, Raymond Cham Jr., Meg Millidge, music supervisor Savan Kotecha, producers Cathy Schulman, Jordana Mollick, and Gabrielle Union. Following the screening’s rapturous applause, guests were treated to an after-party at Estelle’s lounge where they enjoyed participating in an August Moon themed music video and designing their very own vinyl records. Ahead of its debut as the closing night film at SXSW, it was announced that The Idea of You has become the most-watched trailer of any original Amazon streaming feature film, with more than 125 million views (based on one-week global video views figures across social platforms)!

The film centers on Solène, a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter’s trip to the Coachella Music Festival after her ex bails at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with Hayes and there is an instant, undeniable spark. As they begin a whirlwind romance, it isn’t long before Hayes’ superstar status poses unavoidable challenges to their relationship, and Solène soon discovers that life in the glare of his spotlight might be more than she bargained for. In addition to Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, the cast includes Ella Rubin, Reid Scott, Annie Mumolo, Viktor White, Raymond Cham, Jaiden Anthony, and Dakota Adan. The film is based on the beloved novel of the same name by Robinne Lee.  The below photo is of From left to right: Reid Scott, Ella Rubin, Cathy Schulman, Nicholas Galitzine, Anne Hathaway, Claudette Godfrey (VP of Film & TV, SXSW), Michael Showalter, Jordana Mollick and Gabrielle Union
