That’s right “Think Zinc” and not “Think Mink” to fight the Coronavirus by building up your immune system with advice from Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum!
Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D has been on our show many times, and has always gave us great in-depth interviews- with new, valuable cutting edge health advice, and has personally gave me some great help with health issues that I had. The Doctor gave me his best-selling books: Real Cause Real Cure, and Cures A-Z – which were both filled with lots of amazing advice to improve your health! In this below letter he sent to me are some great tips on how to fight back against the Coronavirus by strengthening your immune system:
We have all heard about the importance of social distancing, to avoid coming in contact with the virus. This is important, and represents a prudent caution. It can be done calmly, and even enjoyably. In fact, one can simply treat the upcoming period until the all clear is sounded as an introvert’s perfect holiday.
How you approach this does matter. Anxiety and panic make the immune system less effective over extended periods. It works better when you ’ re calm and enjoying yourself. So take this as a time for rest and enjoying home movies, reading, and time with the family. Basically, a “ staycation. ” I schedule one or two of these stay-at-home vacations myself each year. Even without the virus. They are some of my favorite vacations!
So once you ’ ve taken measures to do social distancing, handwashing, and the usual recommendations, the next step is to institute some very simple but powerfully effective tools
1- Take a high potency Multivitamin
Keep your immune system strong! This recommendation is critical. Although most strategies have focused on not coming in contact with the virus, is critical to have your immune defense system optimized just in case. Four nutrients are especially important for this, with the most critical one being zinc. Zinc has been shown to slow coronavirus replication by blocking its RNA Polymerase, and can even kill the virus on contact (as zinc lozenges). So it ’ s like practicing spay and neuter for the coronavirus .
Vitamins A (2500 mg a day – not higher. Doses over 8000 units a day can cause birth defects in pregnant women), vitamin C (200 – 500 mg daily), and vitamin D (1000 units daily) are also important. 2- Elderberry has been shown to also suppress coronavirus. This can be found in ViraPro, which also contains all the key nutrients above. I personally take the Energy Revitalization System plus one ViraPro each day for added protection. This may prevent the infection and make it much less severe if you do happen to get it.
3- Meanwhile, don ’ t forget the power of getting a good night sleep. For most people, 8 – 9 hours a night is optimal. Getting optimal sleep has been shown to be associated with enhanced immune function, so getting optimal sleep can decrease the risk, and the severity of, coronavirus infections.
4- if you do get possible symptoms of the virus (e.g. cough, fever, or intestinal symptoms), don ’ t panic. Most people will do fine, and the infection is often mild. Instead, continue the measures above and
A- call your physician. They probably won ’ t want you to come in, as there is really nothing they can do. They may or may not instruct you to go to a drive through Coronavirus testing site. Sitting in a doctor ’ s waiting room is more likely to cause harm than good if you have mild symptoms.
B- If you are having cough and severe shortness of breath, that is when it is especially important to call your physician. This raises a question of the coronavirus causing a pneumonia.
C- If you have any symptoms of coronavirus, increasing vitamin C to 2000 mg a day (or as much as you can take without uncomfortable diarrhea or stomach irritation) can be helpful. I would then increase zinc to 50 – 75 mg a day, add the Elderberry 300 mg a day, and also add Andrographis. If one does not have high blood pressure, I would also add a licorice extract or 2 cups of licorice tea each morning.
Remember, most of you will do fine even if you get the virus. It will often be mild and help you develop natural immunity. But a simple ounce of prevention using the measures above can go a long way.
