Kevin Patrick Dobson died at 77 years old on Sunday September 6th, 2020 on Labor Day weekend, after struggling with an autoimmune deficiency. His death was announced on a Facebook post by the United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County.

Kevin was an American film and television actor, best known for his roles as Detective Bobby Crocker, the trusted protégé of Lt. Theo Kojak in the CBS crime drama Kojak, and as M. Patrick “Mack” MacKenzie in the prime time soap opera Knots Landing.

Besides being on our TV show many times, I was very lucky to meet Kevin in person on other occasions: like on the Set for “Knots Landing,” and back when I lived in New York I meet Kevin when he worked as a conductor on the Long Island Railroad, when I had to take the train from Long Island into to Manhattan everyday. Kevin was always a very kind man! He will be missed, and our prayers go out to him and his family!

The  30 second video is a comedy bit- if Hitler were still alive today. No disrespect is meant to Kevin or anyone else, it was just something I found that is actually a complement to the great acting talents of Kevin Dobson.
